Then Open the "Advanced" tab and disable exclusive mode. In the "Playback" tab right click on your output device and click Properties. This will open up a little secret dialog that you can't find in any other menu. Follow the same steps as in the original post, but instead of double clicking on your audio device, right click it then select "Sound Settings".
